“Horizon
2020” Programme of European Commission
grants for European (and non-European) universities, research-performing
companies and other organisations
Horizon
2020 is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme
ever with nearly ˆ80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to
2020). It promises more breakthroughs by taking great ideas from the lab to
the market, with its emphasis on excellent science, industrial
leadership and tackling societal challenges. A typical Horizon 2020
grant application (project proposal) is a 50-100 pages-long
document which has to be written in strict accordance with numerous rules.
Although the European Commission publishes official information about Horizon 2020 grants, to find specific points in this large
volume of lengthy documents is not easy for an inexperienced person. Our aim
is to facilitate involvement of new participants in the European Research and
Development projects. |
